How to add event information
Smoothcomp gives each organizer the ability to have a small homepage within the platform so if you want you don't need an extra event page.
Event information
1. Choose the title for your competition and add additional information so that your customers can find and contact you.
2. In the location field is where you add where the event will be hosted. Add information in all boxes and then press "Find location". If Google finds the location it will automatically generate a link on the first page to the venue on Google Maps.
3. Add a cover image so that your event looks great in our event calendar!
In the box for "registration info" you can add information that will be visible for your customers in the last step of the checkout (before the payment)
Event information page
Each event will have an information page by default, and you can fill this with whatever content you want to.
Here's how to edit the page:
Whilst in there you can set the title of the page (you can have multiple pages, see at the bottom), a brief introduction and the main content.
You can also make different versions of the page for different languages if you want one page for the athletes visiting the page with English set as the language to have information in English and the athletes visiting the page with Spanish set as the language to have information in Spanish, for example.
The content field has support or a bunch of content, including headers, tables and lists. To add something else than regular text, select an empty row and hit the + icon on the left side:
Add all the content you like and then press save!
Add pages
To have multiple different pages on your event, go to the "Pages" settings tab where you can manage your pages. To create a new one, simply enter the title you wish the new page to have (this can be changed later) and hit "Create new page" on the right side.
After that you'll get transported to the editing page like before, and you can enter the content you wish the new page to have. As always, don't forget to hit "Save" at the bottom once you're done!
Now your new page is added in the menu! If you want to add more you can press the "Add/edit pages" button which will take you right to the "Pages" settings shown before.
