Revolution round robin, 3-man bracket

A customized bracket that starts as a three-man round robin but if it is tied the bracket will be resolved through a special type of elimination bracket.

At first there is a normal round robin, but if there is a draw a new bracket will appear

After the first part is a tie, a new elimination bracket appears where the first match of the round robin is run once again. The loser in that match will become 3rd place, the winner advances.

In this case Daniel wins and advances to the "final qualification".

At this time the bracket will compare the outcome of this match with the result Daniel and Rocky had in their first match (where Daniel won)

  • If Daniel wins, the bracket is over and Daniel gets 1st place
  • If Rocky wins, it is determined an upset and Daniel will get another try to defeat Rocky

See how that plays out below:

First example, Daniel wins - bracket is over

Second example, Rocky wins and an additional match appears for a final matchup for the gold and glory!

In their 3rd match of the bracket, Daniel manages to pull off the win making him earn the gold, Rocky gets the silver and Beatrix gets awarded the bronze.
