Judo kata scoreboard (Multiple device input)

Our scoreboard for Judo kata allows for (but do not require) Multiple devices inputting scores in real time sync.

The input can be made from mobile/tablet or PC depending on what you prefer. All devices needs internet access in order to deliver scores.

Setting up the bracket

1. Choose "Voting/Judges score"

2. As scoreboard, choose Kata (Judo), then as "Kata" choose the one you want to create a bracket for. In this case I am looking to add Nage no kata.

When the bracket is created each match shows up with two different link options:

  • One link for the main table called "Go to scoreboard" (requires manager or organizer access)
  • One link for each of the judges that shall do their respective input (requires staff access). If I am judge 1 I should click on the corresponding link to go to my form where I input my scores.

The main table form looks like this. In the black navigation header at the top I can see the status of my judges (judge 1 and 2 is online as indicated by the green dots). By default all scores are hidden in this view, but I can choose to toogle the Hide/Show button so I can see the progress of the judges work.

This is the view for Judge 1, click in all the scores and when done press "submit form" which locks the screen and marks them as delivered to the main table.

Locked screen (can only be unlocked by the main table)

The header in the main table view now looks like this.

- Judge 1 has a green checkmark indicating that they have submitted their scores.

- Main table can toggle hide/show to see all the inputs from the judges and can also see that highest and lowest scores are removed.

The inputs are synced live between all devices and if internet goes down for any of the devices they are notified that they need to reconnect.

The main table can input scores on behalf of the judges by visiting their page, from this page they can also submit a form or lock/unlock a screen for a judge.

Save is only possible when all judges have submitted their forms. Save is what sets the final scores of the performance and can only be done by the main table.

When scores are delivered and main table navigates to the next scoreboard all judges gets informed that they need to follow to the correct form. Just by clicking "Open scoreboard" the Judge will follow the main table.

By the way -  the input scores can also be done by mobile device which shows a different setup due to available space on the screen.

Good luck!
